Women’s Health Series
The Women’s Health Series will be a 5-week program focused on improving body literacy and health education where we’ll bring racialized women health experts to speak to community members about health topics ranging from reproductive health to mental health. This program addresses the lack of women health education, cultural sitgmas and taboos associated with womens health, and creates a culturally safe space for women to engage in sensitive topics that will help them make informed decisions about their health. The goal is for students to gain fundamental health education and competencies to become women’s health advocates in their community.
