I like to help in any way that I can, I don’t see myself as a leader, rather, being a co-leader along with the community is enough for me. I got into volunteering through Go-Getters in 2021, as part of that program I received a grant to complete a passion project and when I learned about TIG, I was immediately on board, as I thought it’d be an immediate way to give back to the community. With my new passion project, I hope to support young adults through offering informative sessions delivered by industry professionals on various topics a young adult may not know how to navigate alone. I like to channel my creativity in my work or anything else I do, and this felt like something no one else has done before.
Adulting101
Adulting101 is aimed to help young adults navigate the realities of adulthood with better knowledge and confidence. Through a series of accessible, expert-led sessions, participants will hear about practical topics that are often overlooked in traditional education or difficult to learn independently, such as personal finance, healthcare, car ownership, housing, or everyday decision-making. By connecting young adults with trusted professionals and creating a welcoming space for questions and discussion, Adulting101 aims to equip participants with practical knowledge and encourage them to make more informed decisions as they enter and navigate adulthood.

Over the next few months, I plan to reach out to experts, recruit volunteers, topic development, outreach and participant registration, followed by a series of three learning sessions. Participant feedback will be collected throughout to evaluate impact and inform future programming.

Equip young adults with practical knowledge and confidence often overlooked in school or difficult to learn independently. The goal is to connect with at least 3 trusted professionals who can contribute their expertise to the project. Deliver up to 3 practical learning sessions covering relevant topics. Engage at least 30 young adults throughout the program. Increase participants' knowledge and confidence, with at least 80% reporting that they gained useful knowledge or feel more prepared to make informed decisions after participating. Collect participant feedback to evaluate the sessions and identify opportunities to improve or expand Adulting101 in the future.
