Heeva Torabi
Heeva Torabi is a Health Science student at the University of Ottawa in the French Immersion stream. Heeva first started her project, Learn2Lead, in grade 10. She realized students who had access to opportunities in community involvement were more confident in applying themselves to try new things and unlocking their full potential. Since entering university, Heeva’s curiosity for exploring real-world challenges has grown. She prioritizes taking time for reflection, and has elevated her project to encourage others to do the same. From this, she hopes to create a space for high school girls where they feel encouraged to pursue careers in healthcare leadership.
Learn2Lead Girls
These days, more women are entering careers in medicine and healthcare, yet many remain underrepresented in high positions of leadership. Learn2Lead Girls is a program that addresses this problem by empowering high school girls to strive towards their full potential.

Learn2Lead Girls hosts regular events where students have the unique opportunity hear from accomplished healthcare professionals, get hands-on experience with medical training equipment, and learn new skills in workshops.
