Hello! My name is Helena and I am an undergraduate student at Queen's University. I am a passionate community advocate dedicated to making our spaces more inclusive, accessible, and supportive. I believe the most meaningful leadership happens on the ground, by listening to community needs and working side-by-side with others to build practical solutions. Project Let's End The Stigma (LETS)
Project LETS (Let's End The Stigma) is a student-led campus initiative dedicated to advancing menstrual equity and dismantling the barriers surrounding period care. Founded to ensure essential health products are treated as basic necessities, this project provides free, gender-inclusive menstrual products across university libraries and washrooms. Project LETS actively breaks down pervasive stigmas, fosters community dialogue, and works toward building a supportive, equitable campus environment where no student faces disruption to their learning due to lack of essential care.

Project LETS coordinates the ongoing purchase, stocking, and maintenance of free menstrual product dispensers across university washrooms and high-traffic spaces. Operating throughout the academic year, the team runs inventory checks, tracks usage data, and hosts awareness campaigns/events to normalize period health on campus.

Project LETS directly combats period poverty by supplying free, accessible menstrual products to hundreds of students across campus facilities. By ensuring continuous access and fostering open community dialogue, the initiative removes educational disruptions, alleviates financial burdens, and normalizes menstrual health within a gender-inclusive environment for all campus community members.

The mission of Project LETS is to foster an equitable, stigma-free campus environment where essential hygiene products are universally accessible. We strive to maintain reliable, free menstrual product stations in key facilities, facilitate dialogue to normalize reproductive health, and ensure no student faces educational disruptions due to lack of care.
