This project empowers young people from the Djiboutian diaspora in Canada through leadership development, cultural engagement, and community participation. Through discussion circles, a book club, creative workshops, cultural showcases, and a week-long conference, participants will build skills, strengthen their sense of belonging, and collaborate on solutions to issues affecting East Africa.

      Le fonctionnement du projet

      The project includes monthly discussion circles, book club sessions, creative workshops, two cultural showcase events, and a week-long conference featuring experts in international law and international relations. Participants will develop leadership, critical thinking, creativity, and cultural awareness while collaborating on a policy report addressing challenges facing East Africa.

      The project will empower young people from the Djiboutian diaspora by strengthening their leadership, communication, critical thinking, and civic engagement skills. It will foster a stronger sense of belonging, promote cultural pride, and create lasting connections within the community. Through education, creativity, and collaboration, participants will become more confident and engaged leaders. The project’s policy report on East Africa will also encourage informed dialogue and contribute youth perspectives to discussions on international cooperation and development.

      The mission of this project is to empower young people from the Djiboutian diaspora in Canada by creating inclusive opportunities for learning, leadership development, cultural engagement, and civic participation. Through discussion circles, a book club, creative workshops, cultural showcases, and a week-long conference, the project aims to strengthen participants’ skills, foster a sense of belonging, promote cultural pride, and inspire the next generation of engaged community leaders.
