Naomi Ogunjobi
I’m a young community leader and university student passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for youth to feel seen, supported, and empowered. Through my work in youth programming, I’ve helped facilitate culturally responsive initiatives focused on identity, confidence, leadership, and economic mobility for young people from diverse backgrounds. I’m especially passionate about creating spaces where youth can connect their lived experiences and culture to their personal and professional growth. My leadership is rooted in community, collaboration, and a belief that young people should not only have a seat at the table, but be supported in shaping the table itself.

A culturally responsive youth program that empowers young people through identity, confidence, leadership, and practical life skills. The project creates an inclusive space where youth can feel represented, build meaningful connections, and develop the tools and confidence to pursue their personal, educational, and career goals.

Le fonctionnement du projet
Over 8 weeks, youth will participate in culturally responsive workshops, mentorship, group discussions, and hands-on activities focused on identity, confidence, leadership, financial literacy, and workplace readiness. The project will conclude with a youth-led showcase where participants reflect on their growth, share their experiences, and celebrate their achievements.

Participants will gain tools to navigate education, employment, and future opportunities, empowering them to recognize their strengths, advocate for themselves, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

The project’s mission is to empower youth through culturally responsive programming that affirms their identities, builds confidence, and strengthens leadership and life skills. Our goals are to increase youth self-confidence, develop practical career and financial skills, foster meaningful connections, and equip participants to pursue their goals while becoming engaged leaders in their communities.
