Shirley Li
I’m a medical student who cares deeply about people and the communities around me. Growing up, I often found myself stepping into roles of responsibility, which shaped how I show up for others—with empathy, calmness, and a willingness to help. Starting Train to Save came from a simple but important realization: in emergencies, the difference between panic and action can save a life. I want people to feel confident stepping in, not standing by. I’m still learning, but I’m driven by the hope of making support and lifesaving skills more accessible in everyday communities.
Train To Save
Train to Save is a community-based initiative that provides accessible, hands-on first aid and CPR training to everyday people. It aims to empower individuals with the confidence and skills to respond effectively in emergencies, especially in situations where immediate action can save lives. By focusing on practical, low-barrier education, the project seeks to make lifesaving knowledge more widely available and foster a culture of preparedness and care within local communities.
