The Bridge

The Bridge is a multigenerational initiative designed to foster connection, dialogue, and mutual support between youth and elders in our community. By creating both a physical gathering space and a digital platform, we aim to facilitate meaningful conversations, cultural exchange, and relationship-building across generations.

About this Project

Communities Served

My project will involve and/or impact the following communities:

    United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.

      How the project works

Our project aims to strengthen connections between youth and elders through intentional conversation and digital connection. Starting in October, we’ll host monthly in-person and online intergenerational dialogues—safe, themed spaces where 10–15 participants can share stories, ideas, and lived experiences. To keep the conversation going beyond events, we also plan to develop The Bridge, a digital platform designed to foster ongoing exchange, mentorship, and community care. Through both in-person and virtual spaces, we’re working to rebuild trust, share cultural wisdom, and create a stronger, more united community across generations.

      Project Impact

We want to create a physical community and digital platform that connects the youth of our community and the elders. A lot of the youth have concerns and questions that they would want to ask their elders, the elders have wisdom to share but there aren't many spaces for the two generations to interact.

      Project Mission

To cultivate a resilient, intergenerational community where knowledge, stories, and values are passed down, preserved, and reimagined. We envision a future where youth feel grounded and guided by the wisdom of elders, and elders feel valued, heard, and actively engaged in shaping the future of their community.
