2025 Sprout Ideas Fellowship Summit
From June 23–26, 2025, TakingITGlobal hosted the Sprout Fellowship Summit at Humber College in Toronto, bringing together 57 youth leaders from across Canada for a powerful week of connection, learning, and celebration. Through workshops, panels, networking, and a youth-led trade show, Fellows strengthened their leadership, deepened their community impact, and built lasting relationships. A major highlight was the announcement of a new micro-credential, Project Design for Community Impact, offered in partnership with Humber Polytechnic. Upon completion of the Sprout Ideas Fellowship, Fellows will be able to receive the micro-credential to showcase and verify the learning they completed. The Summit concluded with the Sprout Awards ceremony, recognizing outstanding achievements in innovation, storytelling, and community leadership. This report captures the energy, reflections, and outcomes of a transformative gathering of changemakers.

Winnipeg Sprout Ideas Fellowship Accelerator Summit
From April 14–16, we welcomed 13 young Indigenous social innovators to Winnipeg, Manitoba, for the Sprout Ideas Fellowship Accelerator Summit. Over the course of the event, participants engaged in a collaborative review of all 12 Fellowship modules, explored the stories and insights of fellow Indigenous changemakers, and built meaningful connections with one another. The modules covered key areas of social innovation, helping Fellows strengthen their skills and expand their capacity to grow their initiatives. By completing the summit, each participant became eligible to apply for a Seed Grant of up to $5,000 to bring their projects to life.
