Aman-Mussay Tekleab
I’m Aman-Mussay, a Toronto-based Documentarian and creator of Sovereigntize. I developed the project through the Sprout Ideas program to explore how independent thinking, self-reliance and greater awareness of the systems around us can support personal resilience and freedom. My background inspired me to turn these ideas into an accessible documentary, website and educational platform.
Sovereigntize - become independent through freedom
Sovereigntize is a platform dedicated to empowering individuals to achieve mental, financial, and spiritual independence through education, advocacy, and community coaching. The project promotes understanding of sovereignty, unlearning destructive mindsets, and disconnecting from proprietary systems. Through documentaries, social media, seminars, and online resources, Sovereigntize aims to inspire self-sufficiency, elevate consciousness, and foster a global movement toward true independence.

About this Project
Communities Served
My project will involve and/or impact the following communities:

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.
How the project works
Sovereigntize begins with a documentary that introduces the project’s central ideas in a visual and accessible way. Viewers can then continue exploring those ideas through sovereigntize.com, join the mailing list for future educational content, or book a private 30-minute conversation through the website. The project combines documentary storytelling, digital education and direct discussion to give people several ways to engage at their own pace.
Project Impact
Sovereigntize aims to give people practical language and frameworks for thinking more independently about identity, conflict, ownership and participation. Its intended impact is greater self-awareness, resilience and self-reliance, while encouraging people to approach social and institutional systems consciously rather than automatically. The documentary and website create an accessible starting point for those conversations.
Project Mission
Our mission is to help people become more independent through freedom of thought, self-awareness and self-reliance. Sovereigntize encourages individuals to recognize divisive and limiting patterns, understand the systems they participate in and make more conscious choices about where they place their attention, identity and energy.

Project Team
