Ottawa, ON

I'm a community organizer passionate about creativity, accessibility, and building connections through the arts. With a strong belief that art should be a welcoming and low-barrier outlet for self-expression, I enjoy creating spaces where people of all ages and skill levels can gather, learn, and share their creativity. My work focuses on fostering collaboration, supporting local artists and businesses, and promoting mental well-being through community-driven initiatives. Through projects like Brush & Brew Ottawa, I aim to strengthen community ties and inspire others to discover the joy of making art together.

Brush & Brew Ottawa

Brush & Brew Ottawa is a six-month community arts initiative that brings people together in local cafes, and outdoor spaces to create art in a welcoming, low-pressure environment. The project offers both self-directed sessions—where participants draw, paint, or craft together—and occasional expert-led workshops for added inspiration. With supplies and refreshments provided, Brush & Brew Ottawa fosters creativity, connection, and community well-being across West Ottawa.

      How the project works

Brush & Brew Ottawa runs from August 2025 to January 2026, offering biweekly self-directed art sessions in cafes, dessert shops, and outdoor spaces, alongside occasional expert-led workshops. Participants create, share, and connect in a supportive environment with art supplies, drinks, and snacks provided.

      Project Impact

Brush & Brew Ottawa brings people together to make art, meet new friends, and relax over coffee, or tea. By offering fun, low-cost creative sessions, the project helps reduce isolation, supports mental well-being, and makes art more accessible while strengthening connections with local artists and businesses.
