Kayla Han
As a young working professional in government relations and lobbying, I have been able to ground my work in community development as a student council leader in secondary and post-secondary school and have been able to develop advocacy initiatives that would support my local communities. My recent TakingItGlobal initiative has been dedicated to support rural students with tools to advance their career and educational interests across South-Western Ontario schools.
TaleAge App
TaleAge is an app designed for seniors to share the stories they have created throughout their life independently through a video editing tool. With simple features designed for user accessibility, TaleAge provides seniors with the capabilities to create their own video with minimal support to share their life story how they want it remembered.
About this Project
Communities Served
My project will involve and/or impact the following communities:

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.
How the project works
TaleAge app should be downloadable online. Users would be able to open the main page and fill details of their name, age and relevant topics that they would like the AI tool to ask about in the video. The next step is brought to the main recording page where seniors introduce themselves and can hear and see the question to answer their life, with tools to edit and restart if needed. The clipping is then created to make a new video. This process should be completed by November 2026 and testing with senior groups should be conducted in December-January 2027.
Project Impact
TaleAge is to promote digital literacy, enhance understanding of AI education while also promoting aging-in-place and senior's dignity and independence.
Project Mission
To give seniors the autonomy to share the stories they created in a way they want to. With the help of AI, to ask the questions to users and explore depths of conversations and history with generations to come.
Project Team
Team is currently two software developers, one of which is a consultant who is out sourced for this project.
