I am a young community leader dedicated to advancing equity, inclusion, and wellbeing for underserved populations. As Founder and Executive Director of the Power of Love Foundation Canada, I have created programs that empower women, youth, and families through mentorship, leadership training, and academic success initiatives. I also serve as a Doctor of Public Health candidate and Instructor at Brock University, where I integrate teaching, research, and policy analysis to address pressing health and social challenges. Recognized nationally and internationally for my contributions, I bring lived experience, academic expertise, and a passion for service to every space I enter. My vision is to create pathways of opportunity that inspire, uplift, and transform communities locally and globally.

Beauty and Brains 2.0: Mental Health & Empowerment for Black Women

Beauty and Brains 2.0 supports vulnerable Black females aged 15–29 by providing culturally responsive mental health counseling, mentorship, and personal development opportunities. The program combines therapy sessions, skill-building workshops, and safe spaces for connection, equipping participants to navigate barriers and thrive. Through community support, practical resources, and empowerment-focused activities, Beauty and Brains 2.0 fosters resilience, confidence, and leadership among young Black women, creating long-term impact for individuals and their communities.

      How the project works

      From now to February 2026, Beauty and Brains 2.0 will deliver weekly therapy sessions, monthly empowerment workshops, and mentorship circles. Participants will also receive resources, safe spaces for dialogue, and skill-building opportunities to foster mental health, resilience, and leadership

      Project Impact

      The project strengthens mental health, builds confidence, and equips young Black women with tools to thrive. By February, participants will show improved resilience, stronger peer networks, and greater capacity to pursue personal, academic, and professional goals.

      The mission of Beauty and Brains 2.0 is to empower vulnerable Black females with accessible mental health support, mentorship, and leadership opportunities, breaking systemic barriers and fostering resilience, wellbeing, and success within their communities.
