Madeline Carr

Woodlands, NB

Growing up in rural New Brunswick, Madeline's passion for environmental conservation was sparked at a young age by the natural playground in her backyard. This passion intensified as she explored the devastating impacts environmental degradation can have on the communities and natural places she loves. Madeline was inspired to pursue a combined degree in Leadership and Environmental Studies from the University of New Brunswick, during which time she worked and volunteered with a wide variety of environmental non-profits whose mandates often centered on public environmental engagement. In 2021, she was proud to be recognized as a Canadian Top 25 Environmentalists Under 25 by Starfish Canada. Madeline decided shortly thereafter that she wanted to inspire other young environmental leaders and activists to act in ways that work for their communities. Thus, M. Ruth Retreats was born.

M.Ruth Retreats

To foster important connections M.Ruth Retreats offers customizable retreats in the rural village of Tay Creek, New Brunswick. Tucked into the remnants of an old apple orchard and surrounded by acres of mature woodlot, guests can retreat however they choose from the comfort of their spacious bell tents while enjoying private access to a fully equipped lodge, an extensive trail system, the best swimming hole in the Tay River Valley, and so much more.
