I am passionate about climate action and helping young people better understand the environmental challenges affecting their communities. Through Climate Literacy for Youth, I want to create opportunities for youth to learn about climate change in an accessible and engaging way, while encouraging them to see themselves as part of the solutions. I believe that when young people have the right knowledge, tools, and space to participate, they can become confident advocates and changemakers in their communities.

Climate Literacy for Youth

Climate Literacy for Youth is a community-based project designed to help young people better understand climate change and how it affects their lives and communities. Through engaging, accessible learning activities and discussions, the project will build participants’ climate knowledge while encouraging critical thinking, environmental responsibility, and youth-led action. The goal is to make climate education practical and relatable, empowering young people to see themselves as active contributors to a more sustainable future.

      How the project works

      Climate Literacy for Youth will deliver a series of interactive workshops where young people explore climate change, its local impacts, and practical solutions through discussions, hands-on activities, and group challenges. Over the project period, participants will build climate knowledge, critical-thinking skills, and confidence to take meaningful action in their communities.

      Project Impact

      Climate Literacy for Youth will increase young people’s understanding of climate change while strengthening their confidence to discuss environmental issues and take action. Participants will leave with practical knowledge, stronger critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, and ideas for contributing to climate solutions in their schools, homes, and communities.

      Project Mission

      Climate Literacy for Youth aims to make climate education accessible, engaging, and relevant to young people. Its mission is to help youth understand climate change, connect it to their everyday lives, and develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to participate in climate solutions. The project seeks to nurture informed, responsible, and active young community members.
