I always strive to bring opportunities to people that I wish I had when I was their age or at the point they are in life. It's so fulfilling to have these conversations with people with all these goals and dreams and see them come to fruition through the hard work and dedication they put via community work. I'm just happy I'm able to be there to bridge the gap between marginalized individuals in Toronto and the world outside of their friend groups and inner circles.

Scent & Self

Scent & Self is a perfume making workshop in Toronto that gives around 20 people the chance to learn about fragrance and create something of their own. Participants will learn about different scent families, fragrance notes, and how perfumes are blended before creating a personalized scent to take home. The goal is to give people a fun and creative experience where they can learn something new, express themselves, and connect with others.

    When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.

      How the project works

      Scent & Self will take place in Toronto in November 2026. Around 20 participants will take part in a guided perfume making workshop where they will learn about fragrance, explore different scents, hear from guest speakers, and create their own personalized perfume to take home.

      Project Impact

      Scent & Self will give participants the chance to learn a new creative skill, express themselves through fragrance, and connect with others in a welcoming space. Participants will leave with a better understanding of perfume making, new knowledge from guest speakers, and a personalized fragrance they created themselves.

      Project Mission

      Scent & Self aims to make perfume making accessible, creative, and engaging. The goal is to introduce participants to the world of fragrance, help them learn new skills, encourage self expression, and create a space where people can connect while making something personal and meaningful.

      Project Team

      Scent & Self is independently organized with support from guest speakers and community partners.
